Here, the focus is on Basque society. Because a language only exists in the mouths of its speakers. It only exists when it is used and shared.<\/p>

Languages are always changing. As the old proverb that Basque writer Axular used to like to quote goes:\u2018A rolling stone gathers no moss\u2019. In other words, languages move, they do not remain unchanged or in one place for very long.<\/p>

Basque has been around for centuries. And it has changed, it has adapted. Because that is what Basque speakers have done.\u2028
